To Change the State of a Work Request

Some work request states can be assigned manually, although this will depend on the way the Workflow Manager component has been configured and whether you belong to a user group with this capability.

Commands that produce state changes are accessed from the Actions menu of the My Work view. A shortcut Actions menu can also be displayed by right-clicking a work request in the My Work view or right-clicking a matched work request in the Find dialog box (see Finding Work Requests). Certain states may appear dimmed on these Actions menus because they are not available for the selected work request.

  1. In the My Work view, select the work request whose state you want to change.
  2. From the Actions menu, choose the state that you want to apply to the work request.
  3. Or right-click the work request, point to Actions on the shortcut menu, and then choose the appropriate state.
